Musician/Songwriter/Performer/Philanthropist Maria Wade has dedicated her life to music and performing to help those in need while inspiring goodwill in all. "I have longed to inspire others through my music and performing". Since 8 years old Maria has performed venues of all sizes, from record store fronts, festivals, churches, auditoriums to name a few.
As a working performer of over 25 years, she was able to educate herself and gain experience in other parts of the entertainment industry such as acting, modeling, audio/video productions and promotions. Former vocal coach for the Musicians Community Center & Rock Academy, has been a consultant for many local music venues, bars, small business, musical entertainers, organized several charitable benefits, as well as assisted many, such as friends, colleagues, and associates in learning how to promote their small business, events and venues while promoting her own music career and events.
Everything in her life revolves around her mortality, beliefs, humanitarian causes in combination with the love of music.
Brianna Wilkinson is a Rochester College alumna with a Bachelor of Science in Music and Theatre with a Business Administration Minor. While at RC she was involved in many musical theatre productions, including the role of Florinda in “Into the Woods,” Baby Kangaroo in “Seussical,” and in the ensemble for “Jesus Christ Superstar.” She was also a member of the “A Cappella Chorus” and a cappella ensemble, “Autumn” for four years. Through these groups she has been able to tour and sing across the country for music festivals including locations such as California, Oklahoma, Florida, and Carnegie Hall in New York City.
She is a member of the Archdiocesan Choir of Detroit and sings with the group for various events in the archdiocese. Experiences from this choir included a trip to sing at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, Italy and an opportunity to sing with the Sistine Chapel Choir at the Detroit Opera House.
She has been teaching music lessons since the Summer of 2015. She loves music and hopes to instill a love for music in her students. Brianna also enjoys writing, arranging, recording, and performing her own music as well. You can find her and her music online:
Bev began piano lessons at age 7 and continued for 10 years. She taught private lessons in high school as a student teacher. She continued music studies at Macomb Community College. Bev has been a private piano instructor for over 30 years, as well as having taught group piano courses for adult-ed in the Chippewa Valley School District. She has been at Music Maker for 2 years. Along with being classically trained, she teaches theory and technique, pop music and any other type of music in which the student is interested. She shares a creative fun approach to learning music which includes various techniques to learning note reading, such as iPad and Android tablet app games, whiteboard-work and traditional flashcards. These techniques are incorporated into the weekly lesson. Other life experiences such as working with autistic children allows Bev to teach with kindness and patience to establish a good relationship with students, which enables them to truly enjoy their lessons and take pride in their growth.
Peter original opened Music Maker Studio in 1999. He was owner from 1999-2006. After 5 years in Wisconsin, he moved back to Michigan and took over as current store owner as of June 1, 2013. He has taught thousands of students in Shelby Twp. over the past 20 years, many of whom now have careers in the music industry. Before opening the store in 1999, Peter attended Oakland University for Music Education. He also attended Madison Media Institute in Madison, WI, for sound Engineering. Peter also has experience working with kids with Autism; incorporating music into their therapy sessions.
